A few months ago when Ada came home from Hawaii, she told us about some fried banana her friend had taught her how to make them. She looked all around Kent, but couldn't find the right kind of banana. She ended using regular banana. It tasted okay but she said it wasn't as good as the one she had in Hawaii. I was talking with one of my friend, Aida, when I was treating her back pain. Then she told me that fried banana is from Philippine and she promised to show me how to make them when she got better. Finally, yesterday, she showed up to her appointment, with banana, lupia wrapper and brown sugar in hand. She make me some fried banana! I have to say they do tasted much better than regular banana. She got the banana from Ranch 99 supermarket... they are so good and easy to make. Thank you, Aida!
POST NOTE:
October 23, 2017
We have an abundant of Plantain banana this last couple weeks in Hong Kong. Sister Anna Leung brought some for us from her garden and someone left a bunch of them on the 10/Floor. So we took some home and make it to share. We made some for the 10/1 Return to China (National Day) celebration firework show at the Cory's and again when the Harmon came over for dinner. We made them again for the Parry's when they came over for dinner. It was a nice desert. We even add frozen whipped coconut cream as added topping. It was yummy!
